Felt Story

_IGP8191

We surveyed few childcares around our area recently (including a Montessori) and decided to let John stay at home for time being. Instead of paying the childcare fee, we set aside the same amount or less for educational materials and toys. It would be prefect if childcare here offer services on day-to-day basis like in Sydney, then we can send John there just for a day in a week for his social development.

Talking about educational materials, I dug out some felt board stories and other teaching resources I made for my course years ago. John had some fun with the Very Busy Spider story. He hummed Ensy Wensy Spider song with fingers motion as he played.

Actually when we moved to Malaysia, I gave away some other stuffs like matching cards for cognitive development, Dorothy tails (wiggles) for social and imaginative play, sock's puppets, and so forth. Now, it's time to make again!! Anyone kind enough to sponsor me a sewing machine? :D
