Today is my first birthday in autumn and first birthday celebrated with my fiance. Surprises from fiance coming in throughout the day. He surprised me with flowers in the morning, a birthday gift in the afternoon and a lovely card before we going out for dinner.
Fiance brought me to a famous Japanese restaurant recommended by the Diner Club. It took us awhile walking around in the city looking for the restaurant as it was the first time for both of us to dine in that restaurant. We had red Miso soup, Toro, Japanese 'amuse-bouche', sashimi seasoned with soy citrus sauce and sake. Japanese 'amuse-bouche' is a selection of traditional foods recommended by chef. I especially like the grilled scampi with Tartar sauce... yummy! All dishes are so yummy... but the price is a bit at the high end though. However, both of us are happy with the good quality of foods and services. We will definitely go back for more yummy foods.
After we got home, we felt like eating pizza although we ate so much for dinner, perhaps its because both of us feeling happy. Happen that we have frozen pizza at home, we had 1/2 pizza with extra cheese. Crispy, cheesy... nice with beer.
