2.10am

It was very warm last night our bedroom was like an oven, a bit windy outside but since the break-in we always make sure doors and windows are closed before sleep. I woke up a few times in the middle of night because of the heat. At 2.10am my nature alarm rang, heard cat's moaning when I was about to go to toilet. Wait a minute, it sounds a bit like... eh hm.. yes, I am sure it is not a cat. 2 or 3 minutes later the moaning became louder and came to a sudden stop, the night back to the peaceful quiet as it was. We live in 5th floor, it can be very noisy at night sometime because of the echo.

I triggered the alarm when returning to the bedroom, quickly ran over to the switchboard to switch off the alarm before the siren is on. This motion detection alarm is also installed after the break in. I went to the kitchen and check if anyone at the balcony... then open the door to let the cool air in. Was standing at the door for about ten minutes, then Tak asked me to bring him a bottle of yakult when I get back. Did not heard him well, though he wanted me to apply ointment for his eyes. Did not bring him yokult...

About the alarm, we can hear the siren pretty often in the neighbourhood. I guess a lot of houses here are alarmed it also means the break-in is very common in here!
