Bridget's Diary

There is a gal named Bridget, she works as a reporter. She always run herself into trouble at work. She feels that her boss, Mark is picking on her and make her feel stupid. Every time she feels upset with Mark, she will write it down in her diary. "Mark such a rude man, no wonder his clever wife left him..... I hate Mark!"

Bridget screwed up the interview at Fire Station, her colleagues were making fun of her at dinner. When Bridget was about to leave Mark ran down the stairs. He told Bridget that he likes her, he likes her as what she is. Bridget was stunned as she thought that Mark is always pick on her. Before he could finished his speech Mark was wanted in the meeting.

On Bridget's birthday, Mark visited Bridget. Bridget was cooking dinner for birthday party with friends. Bridget is a bad cook, she was at mess when Mark came. Bridget's friends arrived while Mark is helping in cooking, and they were surprised to see him. During dinner, Bridget's ex-boy friend, Daniel came to her house. He said something to provoke Mark and they had a fight that night.

Few days later, Bridget attended Mark's parents' wedding anniversary party. She was hoping to see Mark at the party so that she could apology to him for what had happened. Bridget managed to talk to Mark but Mark was wanted by his parents before Bridget could finished what she wanted to say. Things left unsaid again...

During speech by Mark's parents, they thank guests for attending the party. Meanwhile, they also hinted or rather announced about Mark's wedding with his most capable assistant. Bridget was upset after hearing it and she left the party soon after the announcement. She went straight to home and start to write her dairy. Door bell rang, Bridget was surprised when she saw Mark stood outside her house.

Mark told Bridget that she forgot to give him a good-bye kiss before she left. Bridget told Mark to excuse her for a minute when Mark tries to kiss her. While Bridget is making sure her dressing is ok etc, Mark pick up her diary and read. ".... I hate Mark!". Mark left immediately after he read that line, mumbled "fine... fine..." while he is walking out the house.

Bridget heard the door shut, she rushed to the living room and saw her diary is wide open on the table. She knew Mark must had read her diary. She could see Mark walking on the street and she shout for him but Mark did not look back. Bridget quickly put on her overcoat and run out of the house. She was searching for Mark but could not find him in any way. When she is about to give up, Mark appeared in front of her. Bridget trying to explain "That just a diary...", Mark reply with a smile "I know, that's why I came out to get you a new diary for our new life." They kissed in the snow... Finally they kissed.

THE END

The ending is sooooo romantic!! Perhaps you do not find it romantic, try to imagine the scene of kissing in the snow... I wrote this blog just because of the ending. I wonder how many people still remember the word of romantic these days.

I think the concept of romantic changed as we grow older. When I was younger, romantic always associated with kisses and flowers. Now, I feel love and romantic when Tak help me to button my jacket on cold street.
